Charges have now been laid against the 16 year old Langford male, arrested yesterday for the murder of Kimberly Proctor. The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits the release of his identity at this time. The following charges have been laid:

1) Murder in the First Degree (Section 231, Criminal Code of Canada). Murder is considered first degree murder, when it is planned and deliberate

2) Forcible Confinement (Section 279(2) Criminal Code of Canada)

3) Sexual Assault (Section 271 Criminal Code of Canada)

4) Indignity to Human Remains (Section 182(b) Criminal Code of Canada)

This male has been remanded into custody, pending his first court appearance, scheduled for 9:30 am, Monday morning, June 21st, 2010, in Victoria Youth Court.

Charges against the second suspect, an 18 year old Langford male, will be heard later today. An update will be sent out via this website, upon charge approval.
